Powdermill is the environmental research center of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Located in the Allegheny Mountains , it is home to one of the longest continually run bird banding stations in the United States. This new construction is LEED certified and the roofing material is a 55% aluminum-zinc coated steel sheet called galvalume . This makes the panels highly anti corrosive. It has an average recycled content of 30%. The panels were fabricated to exact lengths and installed over a nailable base polyisocyanurate insulation.
